A common request to the CMP team is a percent positive dashboard. The positivity rate, both overall as well as day-to-day helps us understand whether we're in containment mode and can start reopening or if we're still in "outbreak" mode -- where we still do not have the outbreak under some kind of control. According to WHO, one of the key indicators of containment is "less than 5% of samples positive for COVID-19, at least for the last2 weeks, assuming that surveillance for suspected cases is comprehensive" (what 'comprehensive' means is a matter of debate).
We had previously had this on our site and removed it. You can read more on that decision here. We've since decided to add it back since testing has stabilized a bit and AB tests are clearly not in the main testing pool. Thus, this report.
